Mr. Basant Tripathi
Mr. Basant Tripathi, the founding CEO of Ascent Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd., is a young and dynamic entrepreneur, business visionary and a competent corporate consultant. He, with his partners and colleagues, has been providing consultancy and audit services to well-known companies to aid their growth. He believes in progress and thus, established Ascent with a passion to assist organizations to optimize their business processes and assist their ascent to success.
Mr. Tripathi loves reading, staying updated with latest developments in corporate world and networking with global consultants, experts and industry leaders. He is a strategic thinker, skillful negotiator and thought leader. In his leadership, he has been able to partner with different well-known international consulting firm and people of international repute to do different consulting, training & development program to Nepalese corporates. He has interest in diversified venture like IT, e-commerce, trading, hydropower, health and consultancy.
Mr. Sujit Charan Shrestha
Mr. Sujit Charan Shrestha, the founding director of Ascent Consultancy Services, is an experienced banker with decade-long experience and a successful business ideologist with diverse interest and investment in sectors like Insurance, banking & financial institutions, remittance companies, hospitality, hydro-power etc.
He can be illustrated as business initiator and challenge acceptor being venture capitalist in projects like Nepal Money Remit, Prabhu Life Insurance Ltd., Capital Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd., Smile Knowledge Process Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. etc. as the founding promoter to name a few.
He is a vibrant entrepreneur, passionate team player and a business visionary. He prefers collaborations, partnerships and joint-ventures in idealistic projects with professionals and experts. His shares strong and handy bond with esteemed banking professionals, highest dignitaries of most of the financial institutions & insurance Companies of Nepal, leading key personnel of big business houses of Nepal and higher level of government incumbents and people at policy level of government of Nepal which comes instrumental in venturing new investments and projects.
Mr. Roshan Shakya
Mr. Roshan Shakya, the founding consultant of Ascent Consultancy Services, is a Chartered Accountant professional from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) in 2005 A.D. (the gold medalist in CA Intermediate exam), dedicated for around 09 years of his professional career working as an internal auditor and finance officer for Nabil Bank Limited, where he gained diverse experience of varied sectors such as manufacturing, real state, service*, trading, etc. Having gained so much exposure and depth understanding of Finance and Auditing from his tenure at Nabil Bank, he took up the challenge to start his own firm, R. Shakya and Associates. Besides this, at present he is closely involved with Ascent Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. and Smile Knowledge Process Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd., providing consultancy services to numerous business on ways to minimize their operational cost and any risk that can create a detrimental impact on their business.
Mr. Shakya, a proficient auditor and an experienced banking expert, knows his way around the banking industry as well as understand the intricacies and challenges in operating a bank. During his 09 years at Nabil Bank, he was continually involved in optimizing the operations of the bank, be it through diligent audit, proper branch/unit set up or through automation of accounting processes that were essential for daily reporting. Through the automation, he along with the IT team, were able to bring significant reduction in cost and manpower; thereby, improving the operational efficiency of Nabil Bank as a whole. In addition, he was also involved in developing accounting policies and procedures for Nabil Investment Banking Ltd. during the establishment period.

Mr. Sudhir Sharma
Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sharma, the consultant of Ascent Consultancy Services, is a Chartered Accountant professional from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, dedicated over 20 years of his professional career. Mr. Sharma, a proficient auditor and an experienced banking expert, knows his way around the banking industry as well as understand the intricacies and challenges in operating a bank.
Synopsis of his exposure may be summed up as under:
- He has reviewed and revised entire banking manuals (operation, credit, treasury, risks etc.) of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited in the FY 2015/16.
- During Nepal Bangladesh Bank’s management was taken over by Nepal Rastra Bank (The Central Bank of Nepal), as a banking expert, the Central Bank has deputed him as a member of the Management Team of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBBL) as a Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Under the management contract he had actively participated various committee constituted for smooth running of the Bank as a Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
- He was engaged in the financial sector reform project implemented by Nepal Rastra Bank (the Central Bank of Nepal) with technical and financial assistance from International Development Association of the World Bank and Department for International Development (DFID), United Kingdom. Under the project, he had been deputed as a member of the Management Team of Rastriya Banijya Bank (the largest Commercial Bank of Nepal) by strengthening operational skills, credit and loan recovery departments including accounting and internal auditing, and information technology.

Mr. Nishant Tripathi
Mr. Nishant Tripathi, the founding consultant of Ascent Consultancy Services, is a M.B.S., M.S. (Accountancy) and the Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from U.S.A., dedicated over 10 years of his professional career. Mr. Tripathi has handy experience in Accounts, Audit, Taxation, Finance, business consultancy and IT Software.
